Student Leadership Council

We want to see our students grow, not only in musical ability but also as confident and capable leaders. We have a program called the Student Leadership Council in which students can take on leadership roles in the organization. Our student leadership council is open to PACO students of all ages.

Older students can become student coaches for younger student chamber ensembles. They get regular teaching guidance supported by our PACO faculty.

Students can write program notes for their orchestras, including a historical introduction to the composer and a detailed overview of each repertoire piece.

Students can act as student journalists and editors of the PACO newsletter,  responsible for conducting interviews and writing articles relevant to the PACO community.

All PACO students from all orchestras can act as community ambassadors playing music at community events (we perform in over 20 events per season).

Students can function as social media liaisons, posting and promoting PACO concerts, PACO news and other music related content.

Students can collaborate with the SOS music school in Ghana Africa to provide mentorship through online music lessons to young string students there.
